International Lifestyle and Travel giant Karma has announced it is expanding its existing partnership with Diamond Resorts. They will now be able to offer members and guests additional luxury vacation options in Greece.

Karma Group have also announced they will open sales centres at Diamonds Village Heights Golf Resort in Crete. They will sell Diamond Resorts holiday points based products and also vacation memberships for Karma properties.

Resort workers in Hawaii move forward with yet another strike against the timeshare giant.

Workers at the Modern Honolulu and Kaanapal Beach Club In Maui, Hawaii go on strike yet again as Diamond Resorts fail to come to an agreement with workers.

The strikes started in May when Diamond Resorts took over the hotels to convert them into timeshare units. The workers union and Diamond have yet to come to an agreement, so workers have decided to strike again. Workers are fighting for job security, solidarity and a fair living wage.

Interval International, one of the world’s largest timeshare exchange company has just added two new resorts to its books.  

Oak Ridge and Great Rock, based in Branson Missouri US, have both joined Interval International resorts and exchange network. Branson is an Ozark town in southwest Missouri, known as a family destination. It is famous for its Titanic museum and Table Rock Lake.

Wyndham Destinations has announce it has sold its vacation rental business in a deal which nets the company $162 million.

Wyndham Destinations, which is based in Orlando Florida, has sold this part of the business to Vacasa who will now own its inventory of 9,000 condos, houses and villas. Vacasa is one of the largest vacation management companies in the US. With this purchase the vacation management platform will now have 23,000 homes available worldwide.

Action Fraud are warning people to be on the lookout after scammers target utility customers with fake emails.

Action Fraud has received over 100 reports about fake emails purporting to be from utility companies, including British Gas and Anglian Water. The content of the emails vary from threats of account suspension to refunds due to overpayment. The links in the emails lead to malicious websites that are designed to steal personal and financial information.

Holiday giant TUI faces further complaints after two family holidays are ruined by sickness jobs.

The Martin family are among 60 others who claim they were struck down with a severe gastric illness whilst staying at a four star hotel in Lanzarote, booked through holiday giant TUI. The family say within days of arriving on their dream vacation, they were struck down with severe stomach cramps and vomiting.

Apollo, the company that owns Diamond Resorts, has told Hilton it wants to buy their timeshare arm and will pay a premium to do so.

Hilton Grand Vacations is said to be worth $2.4 Billion and Apollo Global Management has informed the timeshare giant they are planning a purchase offer.

The New York Post reports that Apollo has given Hilton Grand Vacations three options: It would offer to buy HGV at a premium to its share price, merge the company with Diamond Resorts or sell shares in HGV.
